District high schools participate in Northwest Suburban Conference Art All Conference workshop day
Maple Grove, Osseo and Park Center senior high school students joined others from the Northwest Suburban Conference (NWSC) on Oct. 11 at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts for a day of arts-focused learning and exploration.
The workshops included activities like Raku firing, cover art illustration, acrylic horizons, watercolor expressions, wire sculptures, jewelry beading and more. The art students had the chance to work with professional teachers in their respective fields and work in professional art studios.
Taking advantage of fine arts-related opportunities such as the NWSC workshop is just one example of how district schools commit to a robust slate of arts-related offerings for scholars.
