Osseo Area Schools’ 2025 Athena Award winners
Three Osseo Area Schools athletes are chosen each spring as the 2025 Athena Award winners, which recognizes outstanding senior female student-athletes from Twin Cities metro-area high schools.
Jordan Ode-Maple Grove Senior High School
Jordan Ode is the Athena Award winner for Maple Grove Senior High School (MGSH). Ode participated in basketball and cross country as both a middle schooler and high schooler. In cross country, Ode competed in the state tournament in eighth grade. In basketball, Ode is a five-time All Conference and three-time All State winner, and was named on two All State Tournament Teams. Ode is ranked number 35 by ESPN HoopGurlz and number 29 for Jr. All Star nationally, and was ranked the top senior in Minnesota. She broke both the MGSH single season and all-time scoring records, reaching 2,000 career points during her senior season. Ode was the 2025 Breakdown Magazine Cover Player, and was chosen for the Star Tribune All-Minnesota high school girls basketball team and as the MN Class AAAA Player of the Year.
She was recently named Miss Basketball Minnesota, naming her the best high school girls basketball player in the state. Ode will play basketball for Michigan State next year.
Macy Patton-Osseo Senior High School
Macy Patton is the Athena Award winner for Osseo Senior High School (OSH). Patton participated in hockey, lacrosse, tennis, softball and trap shooting during her time at OSH, in addition to Link Crew and AP ceramics. In hockey, she is a four-time letter winner, two-time captain and received one All Conference Honorable Mention. She was also named most improved and Ms. OPC. In lacrosse, she is a two-time letter winner, an All Conference Honorable Mention and was named most improved. She served as the captain of her tennis team and received the Osseo sportsmanship award.
Maya Woods - Park Center Senior High School
Maya Woods received the Athena Award for Park Center Senior High School this year. Woods has participated in diving, nordic ski, gymnastics and track and field during her high school career. She has competed at the state meet in two of her sports and set a school record for track and field in the 300 meter hurdles. Woods is a nine-time varsity letter winner and a six-time All-Conference recipient.
Woods will continue her education and athletic career at Northern Michigan University next year, where she’ll be on the school’s track and field team.
