Weather alert for Feb. 22, 23: Temporary move to eLearning, after-school/evening activities canceled

Weather alert for Feb. 22, 23: Temporary move to eLearning, after-school/evening activities canceled

Our district is moving to eLearning on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and Thursday, Feb. 23 because of heavy snowfall and high winds that the National Weather Service says will extremely impact area roads. This means students, early childhood through grade 12, will stay home and use their school-provided device to learn. Your child’s teacher(s) will connect with your family on further details soon.

District programming has been canceled as part of the temporary move to eLearning. This includes Kidstop and Four Star Express programs and all after-school/evening activities.

Note: These changes will not impact 279Online’s school day. Students and staff will continue their work as planned.

Unless notified otherwise, students will be expected to attend school in person as originally planned on Friday, Feb. 24. Stay tuned to district279.org for the latest information. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility with this news.
